Today’s Trucks

The design of the trucks today are moving beyond the standard views of either an SUV or a traditional truck. There are a number of crossover vehicles, and concerns about fuel costs also affect the market for trucks and SUVs.

Many transport companies have a number of models based on smaller platforms that these companies have ever offered. Even the classic Ford Explorer, which coined the term SUV in the first place, it can become a crossover in the not too distant future. A number of these vehicles are based platforms or from a model car chassis.

Toyota has a new small truck offering, which can give new interest to both compact lackluster sales of trucks at the time. Is the A-BAT, with a unibody chassis, and removable storage boxes, and WiFi for the passengers. It has a wheelbase two inches longer than the Highlander, and it is almost as long as the RAV4. Suzuki has a new range of mid-size trucks in the field, to be known as the Ecuador. It is based on the Nissan Frontier and will be built in Tennessee as of this year at the Nissan plant.
